On 110 km of signposted hiking trails in the Blue Land, embedded in a rural cultural landscape set against the alpine panorama of the Zugspitze, you experience nature from its most beautiful side.

  • The rare flora and fauna in the Murnau Moor, the largest intact alpine peripheral moor in Central Europe
  • The sublime island worlds in the Staffelsee
  • The bird sanctuaries and nature reserves at Riegsee and Froschhauser See
  • The wild and romantic banks of the Loisach River

On the way you’ll find rustic beer gardens as well as beautiful rooms and holiday apartments in our villages.

The starting points for our hiking trails are in Murnau or the 8 surrounding villages in the Blue Land.

You can purchase the hiking map with the notations of routes, opportunities to stop off for refreshments and the sights for € 3 in the Murnau tourist information office, and in the bookshop or in the Seehausen and Uffing tourist offices.

The following route descriptions explain what you can expect during your hikes.

Whether it is a hike through the Murnau Moor or around one of our lakes with a leisurely stop for refreshments, the tours in the region appear rich in variety.
