Good to know

Directions

The tour begins at the train station in Murnau a. Staffelsee. On the way north towards Uffing we keep catching glimpses of Lake Staffelsee. We cross the Ache through Uffing and, after the last houses, turn left onto Obernacher Straße. First along meadows we finally reach a section that takes us through the forest past the Schöffau. We drive north past Lake Bayersoi. Cross the Echelsbacher Bridge to the right towards Rottenbuch. It's worth taking a detour to the monastery there. Now we head back over hills. If you want to fortify yourself, stop off at the Schönegger Käsealm. Past the Schwaigsee you follow the tar road to Morgenbach, Unternogg, Altenau and finally you reach Saulgrub. In Saulgrub you keep right on the main road and then cross it straight away towards Kraggenau. From Bad Kohlgrub we drive towards Schwaigen-Grafenaschau and along the Murnauer Moos we finally reach Murnau a. Staffelsee.
