Traces of culture - bike tour through Murnau, Ohlstadt and Großweil

From the train station in Murnau we drive south past Hechendorf to Ohlstadt. In Ohlstadt we turn north and drive along the Glentleiten open-air museum to Großweil. In Großweil we turn around and follow the Königsee-Bodensee long-distance cycle path back to Ohlstadt. From Ohlstadt we follow our initial route back to our starting point in Murnau.

Road-safe bicycle, bicycle helmet, daytime bicycle backpack (approx. 20 liters) with rain cover, comfortable sports shoes, if necessary cycling shoes, weather-adapted and durable clothing in a multi-layer principle, if necessary cycling jersey, if necessary cycling gloves, air pump, bicycle tools, sun and rain protection , provisions and drinking water, drinking bottle and suitable holder, first aid kit, pocket knife, cell phone, if necessary cell phone holder for the handlebars, if necessary headlamp and reflectors, maps.

Schwaiganger Stud: The stud farm is not only dedicated to horse breeding, but also to the preservation of breeds that are threatened with extinction. A colorful calendar of events with stallion presentations and tournaments make Schwaiganger an exciting excursion destination.

Motorway A95 Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen to the Murnau/Kochel exit. After the exit, keep towards Murnau and follow the country road to Murnau am Staffelsee. 

Paid parking at the Murnau festival tent site or on the southern edge of Murnau at the “Murnauer Moos” hiking car park.

There are hourly connections to Murnau from Munich main station.
