Directions

From the Seidlpark car park at the "Deutscher Orden" building complex, this particularly scenic path leads south via Hechendorf, where the Ramsach is crossed over a pedestrian bridge. Continuing along the Loisach you reach the Weichser Bridge. The path then leads through the district of “Weichs” along the Laine to Fieberkircherl near Ohlstadt. From there it goes directly to Schwaiganger.

The stud farm is owned by the Free State of Bavaria and has many breeding and testing tasks for horses, but also sheep and cattle on an area of 1.150 hectares. The horse population is around 420 animals of the coldblood, warmblood and Haflinger breeds, of which 60 are valuable breeding stallions. Tours take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the season at 13:30 p.m. and 15:00 p.m.

Further on, you can visit the newly built glider airfield in the old hamlet of Pömetsried. The flight operations invite you to linger on various benches, not forgetting the magnificent view of the WEtterstein massif with the Zugspitze. Hikers are warmly welcomed by the gliding club, please pay attention to the route and the information signs. We reach the Moos near "Achrain" over a steep slope; a floating jetty was built here for crossing, which compensates for the different water heights. NOTE: CURRENTLY THE PATH THROUGH THE MOSS IS IN VERY POOR CONDITION! Caution is advised when crossing Loisach and Ramsach again on the road bridge on the Murnau-Kochel route. Passing the sewage treatment plant, we once again see the entire mountain range from the Heimgarten via the Estergebirge, the Wetterstein massif to the Ammergebirge and return to the Seidlpark starting point.
