Directions
The path initially leads along the edge of the forest to Hagen, a small village. At the bus stop we turn left up a steep hill. We follow the path, leaving the turnoff to the frog lake on the left and staying on the hiking trail that leads over a hill up to a sheep pasture. We cross this until the path meets the tar road again and continue on to the Guglhör estate, where rare breeds of cattle and sheep are bred by the last Bavarian state stud farm, Schwaiganger. Here you can fortify yourself with a break in the beer garden.
We continue behind the property towards Gröben/Großweil. We hike along a beautiful dirt road and always have the breathtaking panorama of the Estergebirge and the Benediktenwand to our right. Now the path becomes a little narrower and we cross a depression before it goes slightly uphill again and the path meets a wider intersection. Here we turn left. The path continues through a pasture area and meets a tar road at the end. We turn left and continue on the road towards Lothdorf. After the houses we soon turn left again and walk on the tar road again via the hamlet of Perlach and the village of Hagen back to our starting point.
