Directions

A very worthwhile mountain hike is the ridge hike from the Heimgarten to the Herzogstand and to the Herzogstandhäuser (managed). This ridge hike is not dangerous, but only experienced mountain hikers should undertake this tour. If you don't want to go back to Heimgarten, you can take a gondola from Herzogstand to Walchensee and from there take the bus via Kochel to Ohlstadt.
