Murnau's pedestrian zone is the market's landmark and one of the most beautiful promenades in Bavaria.
With a view of the mountains, you can stroll past the houses built in the Biedermeier style in a picturesque setting. The facades were imaginatively and colorfully designed with folk frescoes at the beginning of the twentieth century by the famous architect Emanuel von Seidl and still form the pulsating but tranquil center of the town today.
