The Blue Land is the perfect starting point

We are exactly right! The region around Murnau a. is 60 kilometers south of the state capital Munich. Staffelsee is ideal for holidaymakers who would like to explore the sights of Upper Bavaria.

Whether royal castles such as Linderhof Castle (approx. 30 km) or Neuschwanstein in Füssen (approx. 50 km), the Partnachklamm in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (approx. 25 km) or Zugspitze and Eibsee - all of these sights can be reached in a very short time. The passion play town of Oberammergau or the violin making town of Mittenwald are also worth a trip from the Blue Land. The world-famous Wieskirche (30 km) can be reached in half an hour by car. The museums outside the Blue Land are also exciting, such as the Campendonk Museum in Penzberg (20 km), the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel am See (18 km) or the Buchheim Museum of Fantasy (35 km).

In the Blue Land you can use many public transport options free of charge with the electronic guest card (please ask your host whether they offer this). These include the railway routes from Uffing to Garmisch-Partenkirchen or from Murnau to Oberammergau as well as a large number of the Oberbayernbus bus routes. This means that the excursion destination can also be reached by public transport and you can leave the car at your accommodation.
